ASK English Medium School was established in June 2017 at the Dungarda campus in Waghai, Dangs district, with the aim of strengthening access to quality education and building English language proficiency among children from tribal communities.
Since its inception with Nursery/LKG, the school has now grown to serve students up to the 7th grade, with over 100 children attending daily. In addition, around 30 students are supported through a residential hostel on campus, enabling continued education for those from more remote areas.
The school currently operates as a day school for children from nearby villages, with plans to gradually expand.
A key strength of the school is its commitment to community-based education. ASK actively engages and develops teachers from the same tribal communities, ensuring cultural understanding, language connection, and relatability in the classroom. These educators are trained and supported to deliver quality instruction, helping bridge learning gaps while creating a nurturing and inclusive environment for students.
The institution focuses on holistic development, combining academic learning with life skills, confidence-building, and social awareness. Efforts are ongoing to strengthen infrastructure, including the construction of new school buildings to support the growing number of students and enhance the overall learning environment.
