Empowering Adivasi Girls through education Opportunities
About
ASK has a hostel (Lydia Home) for High School and college going girls in Valsad city, Gujarat, India. The hostel was started with 12 students in 2007 for Adivasi girls from villages who wish to pursue higher education in the cities. The Hostel is currently located in a rented apartment. Here the girls, in addition, to stay and food are nurtured spiritually, socially and get an opportunity to use and learn computers provided in the hostel and tailoring.
At present there are 22 girls in the hostel.
